Van Life as a family photographer in NY

It’s been 6 weeks since Razie and I officially moved out of my apartment in the Bronx and into the van. We’ve mostly stayed in familiar places - V’s, friends, house-sitting. Along with some new places through Harvest Hosts and campsites. It’s been a busy month with photo sessions too, so I’ve just been adjusting to work / van-life balance at a quick pace.

The van isn’t 100% complete and will be a work in progress for some time.... there’s so many projects I want to do. And figuring out a new routine is a challenge. But I’m also taking moments to just enjoy living in the van, taking short trips to Harvest Hosts or primitive campsites. Those days are my favorite right now ❤️ 🚐

So what’s the plan for sessions and travel?

Unlike a lot of van-lifers, I’ll I’ll still be spending a lot of my time on the east coast.

I plan to spend large parts of spring / fall in NY for my family sessions (folks on my newsletter will get the link to my booking calendar first! sign up here). My girlfriend is in NY ❤️, along with friends and family (including my baby niece Jolie!). and property I’ve recently purchased with plans to build a cabin. All that to stay, I’ll still be heavily based in NY. But during the other parts of the year, I plan to travel. I’ll take several months in winter and summer) down South to visit family (likely during the winter because of the heat ☀️ ). I plan to go west, and through Canada and Mexico too.

I haven’t decided if I’m going to blog much about my van-living and travels.. or I might start a separate blog or insta for all things van living. In the meantime if you have any questions about the van, send them my way. And thank you for being here and following along ❤️ it means the 🌎 to me.
